Corporate Culture and Social Responsibility

We encourage our employees to contribute to the community and support causes to help the less fortunate. We grant Volunteer Service Leave to our employees when they participate in the community service/voluntary activities organised by the Company in partnership with charitable organisations during weekends and/or public holidays.

Local Community Activities

Cheng Xin take part in various voluntary programs including:

Food from the Heart – Community Food Pack programme.

The staff sort items received from food donation drives according to the categories and sizes and packed them into food packs for distribution to the needy in Singapore. The food pack can last each family for a month, it helps the less-fortunate put food on the table and offset their living expenses.

Society for the Aged Sick – Volunteers

Society for the Aged Sick (SAS) provides residential and respite care services to people in need of daily skilled nursing care and/or assistance in activities of daily living, and who cannot be cared for at home, particularly the less privileged. Our staff spent an afternoon singing, playing Bingo games, and chatting with the elderly residents.

Willing Hearts – Kitchen Volunteers

Willing Hearts is a secular, non-affiliated charity wholly run by volunteers, apart from a handful of staff. It operates a kitchen that prepares, cooks and distributes about 7,000 daily meals to the needy in Singapore over 70 locations island wide, 365 days a year. We spent half a day actively involved in the preparation of ingredients, packing of lunch boxes, sorting food items according to categories as well as cleaning and washing. Through this, we were able to ease their everyday routine tasks and get the ingredients ready for the next day. Serving the community at Willing Hearts also give our staff a chance to bond and come together as a team for meaningful and fulfilling work.
